Really strong framing.

One thing that stood out to me is how similar this starts to look operationally to distributed systems once agents become long-horizon and tool-connected.

The observability -> behavioural analysis -> dynamic governance progression feels very analogous to how infra evolved from logs/metrics into circuit breakers and bounded failure domains once retries and cascading failures became systemically dangerous.

Especially interesting that a lot of the instability here seems economic before it becomes outright technical:

recursive retries, context expansion, escalating tool usage, etc.

Feels like runtime governance for agents is slowly converging toward a blend of identity, reliability engineering, and economic control systems.
