Good beginner breakdown-cybersecurity really starts with understanding fundamentals like networks, systems, and common attack patterns before tools or hacking concepts.
While the United States is tightening oversight and testing advanced AI models for security risks before release, Europe is moving in a different direction. softening parts of its AI regulation to reduce pressure on businesses and stay competitive.
At the same time, a new battlefield is quietly emerging:
Cybersecurity.
AI is now being used to detect threats, fix vulnerabilities, and defend critical systems in real time.
But it is also being used to create more advanced, faster, and harder-to-detect attacks.
This is the paradox of progress.
The same intelligence that protects systems
can also be used to break them.
Which means the AI race is no longer just technological
it is defensive.
There is no single path to governing this.
Some are prioritizing control.
Others are prioritizing growth.
But all are being pulled into the same reality:
AI is no longer just innovation.
It is infrastructure.
Power.
Risk.
And now security.
As capabilities accelerate, the real question is no longer how fast we can build
But how safely we can sustain what we’ve built.
Because the future of AI will not be defined by who leads in capability alone

Thank you for this well written and easy to read article.
I do believe you meant "wide area networks" when you mentioned WAN instead of "wireless area networks".
I realize this is not meant to be list with each and every example per category in this framework.
However I do feel you should mention NIS(2) in the compliance section.
