Hey Francis, this is really great and helpful. I learned a ton. I am thinking about translating it into Chinese and posting it online to let more readers benefit from it. I would highlight the source and the original writer. Would you be okay with it? Kindly let me know and thank you again for the great work!
Really intresting how you break down the M&A strategy here. The point about PANW spending $4B on 17 acquisitions and actually making most of them work is pretty rare in this space. I'm curious tho whether the integration challenges with Cortex and Prisma products will catch up to them eventually. It seems like they're betting big on cloud security but Wiz and others are movng fast too. The firewall business shrinking to 60% of revnue shows how much the market has shifted. Good read overall.
Loved the feature comparison table.
Found the holy grail, all these stuff have been scattered around in my head as I am trying to catch up to speed and here it is, nicely laid out.
Thank you so much!

Wow. New sub and this is one of the most lucid analysis I’ve read in a while.
Great post!!
Great post on a fantastic company!
You illustrate well how Palo Alto Networks came to be, and what it apires. I saw on LinkedIn that your article was savoured by Nikesh Arora himself😃
